Made from US-sourced 100% organic cotton, this scarf was hand dyed, hand woven and finished in Brooklyn, NY.
The ikat effect is on both scarf ends and is made by dyeing with kakishibu and iron to create a range of warm and cool grey tones. Kakishibu is a non-toxic and naturally fermented persimmon dye from Japan, more about the process and resources can be found here: Kakishibu Time
Care and considerations:
Hand wash cold with gentle ph-neutral detergent. Lay flat to dry. Please take care to not over-launder or store in the sunshine as this might shift the color.
Due to the organic process of hand weaving, there may be inconsistencies in the pattern and width that make each piece unique and one of a kind. Pieces made with natural dyes have a tendency to fade over time.
